Description
Kipka felt his heart swell with love as Dagger picked the little cub up by the scruff and placed it gently in his arms. He gazed down at the little one lovingly, nuzzling it gently. The cub sneezed and reached up a tiny paw, reaching for his father's flowing mane.
"I heard I had a new grandcub."
Both new parents looked up as Kipka's mother, Shika, walked in, a wide smile upon her face. The older lioness walked over to look at the tiny new addition to the pride, sitting beside Dagger, whom she had taken a liking too.
"You done well, my dear." Shika congratulated her as her tail flicked over Dagger's shoulders. Dagger smiled, her gaze drawn back to her new son as Kipka's sister and two brothers came in. Each congratulated the couple, admiring the new baby. Even Misaki, who had never liked Dagger, gave her a gruff word of congratulations.
Dagger smiled and thanked them all, then nuzzled Kipka and leaned up against him. The birth had been exhausting, and she knew her mate would be transfixed with their son for a bit, so she lay her head down and closed her eyes, feeling warm and protected within her new pride. Her new family.
Here is the new daddy with his first little boy! He's just so in love with this little guy, he can barely stand for Dagger to take him and feed him. XD When he gets older I have a feeling Kipka's going to be spending a lot of father and son time with his cub.
